Job Description

The position of Human Resources Officer is an exciting opportunity for a recently graduated / early career professional to make a contribution in a wide variety of ways in this generalist position within our regional headquarters for Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the HR Director - Australia New Zealand, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible for;

  • Providing high quality support and contributions to various projects and administrative tasks relating to HR, recruitment, health and safety, internal and external communications, events, and other related priorities.
  • Providing overall general support to the improvement of the region-wide HR framework, resources and tools.
  • Supporting the organisation’s efforts to build a continuously improving organisational culture of high performance, where the workforce is engaged, committed and adding value to their team and the overall business unit.
  • Supporting the coordination of HR systems; including the recruitment system, HR policy library, identity management system, and other related programs.
  • Building improved HR metric reporting capability by supporting the improvement of HR data integrity and building reliable and reproducable HR reports.
  • Coordinating high level internal and external communications, as well as manage existing (and introduce new) communication streams to better share information.
  • Coordinating end to end event management for a variety of internal regional events such as training seminars/sessions, staff functions, senior executive meetings, industry events and other specific events or activities as allocated.
  • Taking ownership of a variety of other ongoing and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

As an important role within Eurofins, the following selection criteria are essential:

  • 1-2 years professional experience in a similar role will be highly valued, but not essential. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Formal qualifications in HR (or similar) with strong academic performance will be highly valued.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to learn new systems and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications (in English), with very strong attention to detail and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly.
  • High level of initiative, self drive and enthusiasm to succeed and progress.
  • Very good organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, manage expectations and coordinate priorities.
  • Ability to be a hands-on hard worker and a ‘doer’ with a common sense approach.
  • Strategic thinking mindset.
  • Naturally strong abstract reasoning skills.

  • This is a full time position based in Dandenong South, Victoria.
