Drum Theatre is the City of Greater Dandenong’s primary cultural facility, a 521 seat state-of the art theatre which hosts a range of touring professional productions, local theatrical performances, conferences, presentations and community events. Located in central Dandenong, the venue is at the heart of an urban revitalisation program that is supporting Dandenong to develop as a vibrant hub for arts and cultural activity.
Drum Theatre is seeking to appoint experienced and suitably qualified Front of House Officers to join our Team. The role reports to the Customer Service Leader. The primary tasks include:
- Excellent customer service, enhancing the experience of patrons who visit Drum Theatre;
- working as usher / bar person during theatre events
- delivering functions, events and meetings
- understanding the technical and catering requirements relating to functions and setting up rooms to best service client needs
- Efficient cash handling relating to the Bar and Merchandise sales.
The successful applicants will provide an enjoyable experience for patrons and deliver excellent customer service striving to exceed client expectations.
Successful applicants will also have experience in all aspects of event and function services and be good team players. They will need to hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA).

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
